Curly VS. Waffle?

No offense to Todd Wright or to his followship, but I could not stand by and watch the great fry debate go unchallenged by the great and mighty waffle fry. Say what you want about curly, say what you want about straight - but come on people of the potato, Waffle fries are king! Who's with me?

I prefer spicey curly fries over waffle, but waffle over regular surly fries.

So it be said, so it be done.

Jason,

I agree with you completely! My only question is do you have waffle fries up there in yankee land?

The best waffle fries ever can be found at O'Lordan's Pub in Westminster. Always crispy, never soggy, and seasoned just right.

And now, a geography lesson for Jimmy: "Yankee-land" as you affectionatley referred to Maryland is south of the Mason-Dixon line. Therefore most of Maryland during the civil war fought for the confederacy not yankees. Now let me give you a bit more info so that your not confused. Boston is probably full of "yankees" in your opinion and truly has many ties to the civil war veterans on the yankee side. However, BOSTON IS 10 hours NORTH of Maryland! Now, if my understanding of history is correct, the south lost! So why in the heck would it matter if this was "yankeeland"? At least we would be winners? And I can't tell you how glad I am the yankees won! End Soapbox.

Very nice Jason, I guess I shouldn't have slept through history!

I'm a fan of waffle fries.

Waffle fries are WAY better than curly. All I know is that Maryland has the best southern boy and girl at heart living in their midst and it is Texas' loss. Just a prejudice Mom talking.

The waffle fry is a miracle. What happens to the little bits of potato that are removed in order to make the waffle fry? They are removed because surely liquid potatoes are not poured into a waffle iron and cooked.

Rachel said...

I think the little bit are used to make tator tots.

You know Danielle presents a question I have never thought about! Seriously what happens to the little pieces?

P.S. Sorry to offend anyone with the yankeeland comment! Wasnt meant to be offensive as much as a friendly gesture to come back to Texas where Jason and Racheal are dearly missed!

Disclaimer: Absolutely no offense was taken from the comments left by Jimmy about "Yankeeland." Not even for a minute. My rebutle was given in jest, just as I recieved it. And this disclaimer is primarily so that my comments reads 14 now. This has to be a record. Man I'm shallow. (Jimmy, I demand an apology or something for your non-offensive comment and I demand that it be in the form of a comment.) (Come on #15 baby!)

Just so you know all this waffle fry talk has had me at ChickFilA for lunch the past couple of days... and I HATE ChickFilA... but I love the waffle fry. Curse you delicious and crispy waffle fry curse you!

(Go #15!)

There are no leftovers in waffle fries. They use a slicer that is shaped like VVVVVVV and rotate it 90 degrees after each cut.

Sorry for not being #15 but hey I will add this one anyway! Love you Bro!

I'M SO GLAD YOU WERE ABLE TO PIRATE AN IDEA OF MINE AND TAKE GLORY FOR YOURSELF.

NOTHING EVER CHANGES, DOES IT, JASON?

If that is true about the waffle fry Lou, we owe the waffle fry respect. It certainly takes more precision, skill, and time to create that which is...the waffle fry.
